Currently we can offer this program for a maximum of 30 students per visit. Schools are not limited to one visit.
We offer to you and your class the following options with the expectation that the instructor is engaged in the learning process that the visit will provide. Instructors may wish to lead the students in pre or post discussions and lead the tour of the museum or you may choose to have a museum volunteer facilitate or lead a portion of your visit. We ask that you develop an informal lesson plan and choose from the menu of offering below. Please mix and match to suit your class’ educational needs and provide us with your concept of how your visit should unfold. HAMS is here to augment your teaching and education process for the maximum benefit to your class.
Along with our classroom, we can provide a Windows based laptop computer for DVD or PowerPoint presentations, with a screen and speakers. We have 1 conference table, 6 folding tables, & 40 chairs. We have an excellent film from the Go For Broke National Education Center to offer which is sponsored by the Nisei Forum. A synopsis is attached for your review.
